What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) may be used for the same purposes.
Cookies We Use
Essential / functional: Our cryptographic tools run entirely in your browser and do not require cookies to generate or process keys and tokens. We do not use cookies to store the secrets you generate.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (page views, traffic sources, and anonymized product events). Typical cookies include identifiers such as _ga and _gid. See Google's cookie technologies page.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense): When ads are enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites
- Limit how often you see a particular ad
- Measure advertising effectiveness
- Understand how users interact with ads
Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland may see a consent message (Google Privacy & messaging) before personalized advertising cookies are used. Your choice is stored and can usually be changed via the message's manage options or browser cookie controls.
Google Advertising Cookie Examples
Depending on configuration and region, Google and partners may use cookies such as:
- IDE: DoubleClick / ad reporting
- DSID, FLC, AID: ad delivery and tracking
Google's Privacy Policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Managing Cookie Preferences
You have several options to control cookies:
- Google Ad Settings: adssettings.google.com — opt out of personalized ads
- Google Analytics opt-out: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Your browser settings:Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation.
- NAI opt-out: optout.networkadvertising.org
Blocking analytics or advertising cookies does not stop the client-side tools from working. It may affect ads and our ability to measure traffic.
